I love a good story and I’ve even written two novels but you can’t find them in the store. They’re in my drawer at home.

As a features journalist, I’ve learned how to structure a good story. I use those techniques and those I’ve learned from a wide fiction reading least, plus my non-fiction ghostwriting experience, to help you construct your own story.
Here’s a secret about my own book choices: outside of work, I only read novels. My favorites list is long and wide but “Catch 22” by Joseph Heller and “The Mambo Kings Play Songs of Love” by Oscar Hijuelos top my list… Along with everything by written Philip Roth, the great Kurt Vonnegut, and “Letters From Earth” by Mark Twain. Etc.
